AlanGarver.com is the official home page of Alan Garver. While the website contains public information about Alan Garver, it's main function is to provide a space by which Alan and his extended family and friends can collaborate in.

Access to much of the content on AlanGarver.com is restricted to members only. Public information about Alan including Alan's blog have not been restricted. Restricted pages are intended only for friends and family of Alan and the information therein (while not confidential or secret) is not intended to be public information. If you are a friend or family member, you are welcome to register on the site as a member by simply filling in the request form. Alan usually responds to requests within a day or two. AlanGarver.com is built on open source software running on a co-located Linux server in Chicago, IL. The core software that runs the collaboration engine is MediaWiki. Alan has created a modified version of Paul Gu's GuMax template for the sites look and feel, and has implemented several modifications to the base MediaWiki installation. Blog.AlanGarver.com runs on Nucleus CMS and also has a customized skin and base installation to match the look and feel of AlanGarver.com.
